2023 is nearly over. But before we hit the new year, we have taken some time to rewind and reflect on the world of medical workforce management in 2023.
We have seen some amazing successes with our customers throughout the year, including hitting 1 million medic duties rostered a month in Allocate Optima across 150+ organisations and a 53% increase in activity based rostering throughout the year. We’ve also highlighted individual customer successes which you can discover as part of our 2023 Rewind.

We recently completed the implementation of Allocate Rota at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. A big thank you to our services team for delivering this project, as in the words of the team at Bradford District Care, ‘this has been one of the most efficient and effective system implementations we have seen’.
Here is just some more of the feedback from the team over in Bradford.
“This [implementation] has been achieved within the allocated time-frame for the December 2023 rotation and we are now awaiting the February 2024 rotation”.
“The organisation and willingness from RLDatix to complete the project in such a timely manner was a key positive. From Kick Off to being live in the system took just over a week and follow up sessions and closure meetings were completed very soon after that too. This was key to us staying compliant with our Junior Doctor staff, completing exception reporting and supporting with pay schedules too”
Our Academy team are proud to announce the launch of the new Allocate ActivityManager accreditation.
The accreditation is an addition to our ActivityManager Admin Course and by the end, you’ll be able to receive an official accreditation (and badge) and be able to manage relevant reference data, understand DCC language, create activity profiles, model demand using demand patterns and service plans, and more.
As an addition to our existing ActivityManager System admin course, you now have the option of an additional session to get officially accredited as an expert when it comes to activity-based rostering.
If you’re interested in taking this accreditation, you can contact the team at [email protected]
Our Medics Masterclass from this year’s People Summit is now available to watch back.
In this session, the dedicated medical rostering team from Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust share their insights into how you can use rostering data to help build business cases for your consultants to obtain more resources, the importance of Rota Coordinators in day to day management and much more.
